1, check the pump body and belt wheel wear and damage, if necessary, should be replaced. Check the pump shaft with no bending, the degree of shaft neck wear, shaft end thread with no damage. Check the blade on the impeller there is no broken, shaft hole wear is serious. Check the degree of wear of seal and bakelite washer, such as more than the use of limit should be replaced with new parts. Check bearing wear, the available table measurement of the clearance of the bearing, such as more than 0.10mm, you should replace the new bearing.
2, after the pump is removed, can be decomposed in order. After the decomposition of parts should be cleaned, and then one by one check to see if there are cracks, damage and wear and other defects, such as serious defects should be replaced.
3, repair water seal and seat seal: such as wear groove, available emery cloth grinding, such as too much wear should be replaced; seal seat as coarse scratches, available plane or repair in the lathe reamer. In the overhaul should be replaced with new seal assembly.
4, in the pump body has the following injury to allow welding repair: length within 30mm, does not extend to crack the bearing seat hole; a breaking part and a flange joint of the cylinder cover; oil seal seat hole damage. Pump shaft bending shall not exceed 0.05mm, or should be replaced. Impeller blade damage should be replaced. Water pump shaft aperture serious wear should be replaced or set to repair.
5, check the water pump bearings are flexible or abnormal sound, if there are problems, should be replaced.
6, after the pump assembly, with the hand rotation, the pump shaft should be no card lag, impeller and pump shell should not touch wipe. Then check the pump discharge, if there is a problem, should check the cause and rule out. If the pump fails, the coolant will not be able to reach the corresponding place, its performance will not be effective play, and ultimately affect the engine work. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the inspection of the pump.
